has anyone tried a 120mm fork in their KM or Ogre?

Just curious how it behaved with the 120mm fork... might try using it in an enduro event... well if anyone has tried it though

I know it's for the most part against their identity/ethos but I would love it if they made a Monkey that could handle a 120mm fork. I love the idea of a longer travel 29er hardtail.

If you search the 29er forums you'll find a few guys who tried it out. Some liked it. Some thought it slowed the bike down and/or made it plow. I can't really tell the difference between 80mm and 100mm (as far as steering, etc) so might try 120mm next time I have to rebuild the fork.

This site will tell you everything you need to know about how a longer fork will change the geometry:
