Big Dummy and Bill... Best Friends Forever!

It's based around a studded heim joint. Pulls like its not even there. Zero play connection. Perfection.

Looks nice, I wonder if there's a particular reason for such a long arm?

The longer the arm the less the angle is on the heim. You could easy get away with half the length but it really makes no difference besides that angle.

The problem with that mounting position is if you load up the trailer with heavy gear then you could have problems with front wheel lift or odd handling, but im sure you know that anyway, its all right if your making sure you keep heavy loads over the trailer axle i suppose.

Considering the length of the the Big Dummy, my 195lbs, this is a complete non-issue. The amount of weight required to lift the front end to where it would not be rideable is enormous. There just isn't a long enough lever with the trailer to make it matter.

And the proper way to load a trailer is over the axle. That's how you load a trailer. Surly even specifies a 300 pound weight limit with a 50 pound tongue weight.

I am considering getting a bill to be pulled behind my xtracycle as well but was thinking of a way to make it work. If I pull the trigger at some point on the bill do you have any interest making another one of these to sell for profit?
