    1x1 gazzaloddi 3.0 and brakes

    yo.

so i know that the gazzaloddi 3.0s just barely fit in the 1x1. i was wondering if anyone knows if you can clear the tire with a cantilever or v-brake. i'd prefer not to do discs for...well, we should get into why.

    anyone know?

I'm not sure about Vs but I'm sure you could get a straddle wire long enough to clear with canti's. Someone suggested such a solution for a Pugsley with the Endomorphs. Still with the kind of traction you will get with a Gazzaloddi 3.0 I would think discs are the way to go. You obviously aren't worried about weight.

I believe you have to cut off the V-brake posts to fit the 3.0 tires.

No, though you might need to partly deflate the tire to get it past the bosses.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

    thanks all.

if i try this, it'll be with cantis, and probably the wide salsa cable hangers.

i'm just a canti kinda guy. this would be for wintertime trail riding, nothing crazy.
