I doubt it would hurt it once but I wouldn't make a habit of it. I think I'd be more worried about the lightweight parts (specifically wheels) that would most likely be on an rdo frame. Maybe someone with experience on some drops with one will chime in.
Actually, saltzzz didn't mention if he will be ON the bike during this drop, only that if the bike will survive a 5' drop. So yes, if one held up the bike to 5' and dropped it, it would survive quit well.
Saltzzz, what you need is the ROS 9, the new Cro-Mo frame with 142 x 12 rear axle.
