Hi Guys,

As per the topic, i just wanted to see how durable this XC bike is before plunging big money on it.

Cheers

Why the fvck would you buy a carbon RACE XC bike to huck off 5ft drops??? :eek:ut: :madman: I hope Niner can get your name and let all dealers know not to sell you a bike, you're an ass for even considering this.

Is this "real" 5ft or "PB" 5 ft?

Is it to flat or is there a transition?

Are you a good rider or do you just launch and hope for the best?

Even with all the correct answers to the questions above, a "real" 5ft drop on any race XC bike isn't really the riding it was designed for.

If I could leave LyNx more rep I would but he's maxed out...

Easily as well as my Devinci Wilson DH bike!
I wouldn't do a 4' drop on my 4" travel SW Epic 29er unless the landing was perfect.

5' drop on a carbon hard tail? You are asking for trouble IMHO.
But hey, I've been wrong before.

Let us know how you make out? Your body as well as the frame.

Actually, saltzzz didn't mention if he will be ON the bike during this drop, only that if the bike will survive a 5' drop. So yes, if one held up the bike to 5' and dropped it, it would survive quit well. ;)

Saltzzz, what you need is the ROS 9, the new Cro-Mo frame with 142 x 12 rear axle.
