Last weekend I rode in a long event (Vision Quest). After 6 1/2 hours my 510 stopped recording all ANT data - power, cadence, HR but continued recording GPS. Garmin support says it will be fixed in the next release. A friend also had a 510 stop recording all ANT data but at a different time.
Fine, but yesterday my 510 said I peaked at 3600 watts. I wish. My backup GPS said 596 watts.
Not Unusual for a Garmin product to have many bugs in early versions. Almost every device they release has a firmware update after their customers do some testing for them. I hope they are able to improve it as I would like to have a device that would allow my GF to track me on rides so If I break a leg she will have a good idea of where to look. I am going to hold out for the next generation device that will not require a cell signal to accomplish this since most of the areas I ride in don't have cell service.
