i found a split in my current lower boot on my lefty dlr and have a new one on the way to me ( thanks to thumb print tuning ) any tips on how to get the current one off and the new one on?
(i know i could just cut the current one off but hey i guess it'll be good practise )
I have to do this as well. Im assuming it should go on over the axle and up and over where it needs to be. Take it off the same way or cut it off. Maybe Mendon will chime in, do whatever he says.
So renton01, did you do it yet? I checked the answer link and the first suggestion sounds easier than the later. Not sure why the tape and grease on the bottom of the fork when it was going on over the top?
i've not had time to give it a go, so i've used super glue and duct tape as a very short term fix until the new boot arrives, lucky for me the trails in the uk are quite dry.
