    XX1 crank resistance question

    Just installed XX1 set on my bike, seems great....just one possible issue, the crank seems to have severe resistance, does anyone else have this issue, or any advice to free up the crank. My other bike uses rotor crank and can rotate numerous revolutions with little effort. The XX1 using bb30 barely makes one revolution with same effort. Any help would be appreciated.

    Give the BB time to break in. Bearings will loosen up with some miles. Even now my King BB will only rotate 2-3 times if I spin the cranks without the chain.

    Thanks for reply, I was told it would, but wanted to know if it was a common issue with XX1. I will give it a few rides and see if it begins to loosen up.

    Just installed the Wheels Manufacturing Angular Contact Bearing PF30 bottom bracket on my Air 9 RDO with XX1. I could immediately feel that there was less resistance. Might want to try it and it looks like a really good BB.

    Will it work on a standard bb30 setup? If so I will try it, still tons of resistance!! Thanks for idea.

    No, that BB is specific to PF30. Are you sure you used the right spacers? I initially used the original spacer on the drive side that came with my XO crank. The one that comes with the XX1 is narrower and the spindle is shorter so it was causing the crank to bind. Probably not it but it was the mistake I made at first.
