SRAM road shifter + X9 10sp rear derailleur... will it work?

I know it's all Exact Actuation, but I want to make sure this set-up will work before I order the derailleur.

I'm building a monster-cross (MTB + drop bars), and I know I could go with a WiFli road derailleur, but I'd prefer an MTB model since it keeps the cable housing from looping around in the rear, catching on things.

Affirmative..I am running a x9 with 11x36 cassette on my cross bike with Rival shifters...works great.

Yeah, it works perfectly. I'm using SRAM Apex with an X7 FD and X9 RD, and everything shifts perfectly.
