    rockshox vivid bottomout bumper swap

I just got a 2012 rockshox vivid r2c coil. Im assuming i have to remove the rebound knob to change out the drop stop bumper, correct? (its the newr model with the larger knob that sticks out at right angle to the shaft, not the older-lower-profile inline one). Looks like the knob is removed with the central hex screw. Just wanted to make sure doing that wont get into the oil system or anything unexpected. thanks.

    same Q here

edit: for anyone else who googled this:

can confirm yes you just undo one small hex screw in centre of knob, knob falls off, slide bumper over the end (it's on two parts, first slide the outer foam ring off the inner piece. also you may have to remove your mount spacer rings and the spring retainer which is hardest part!
try not to drop crap into the hole while knob is off and don't overtightern when putting on!

think that's about all there is to it. mine came with hard for some reason (on a 350 spring seems a bit too hard), swapped it to medium.
