New SRAM X.0 Rear Derailer w/ Clutch

Has anybody had any experience with this rear derailer?

I have an xtr with the clutch and it is brilliant for stopping/reducing chain slap. I would assume X0 with be as good.

I have the XTR too, which works great, but I prefer the shifting system of the xx shifter do soley to the adjustability of the trigger shifter itself. That's the only reason for the change.

What type of rear shifter to use, XO for sure but will the XX be compatible to this system also?

Yes, Sram uses a 1:1 lever actuation. So as long as it's 1:1 any shifter will work.

One of my riding partners just picked his up today. We are riding tomorrow. I'm anxious to check it out & hear his feedback.

My brother went to order this but the guy at the shop recommended saving money and getting the X9 instead, he could buy 2 X9's for the cost of an X0.
Hardrock 29er, Niner EMD9, Cannondale F29, Camber Expert, 650b Nickel all gone.

your only saving 15 grams by going with the ox and it's twice as much money.

15 grams is such a weak difference. Both descriptions are exactly the same except weight....I fail to see any other differences.

I'm trying to decide if I should make the switch from my xtr non plus to one of these. It's a 65 gram difference with just the derailleur but haven't looked at shifter differences. Only thing that's really got me on the fence is how far this sticks out compared to the shadow derailleur.
