    Mine is nicer than yours
Been running it all year without a hiccup. Took it apart recently to find absolutely zero contamination on the inside.

What is the future of the Hammerschmidt?
Sorry no pics, but I am very interested in the Hammerschmidt for my next bike. What do you think is the future for the Hammer.? Where will go from here?

    Lighter?
    Cheaper?
Will Shimano come out with a similar product?
    Any rumors out there?

Its cool to see a bunch of bikes getting speced. with them.

    Thanks,
    TG

What's up with the leafs as spokes, the candle mounted behind the seat and the "Z" spokes on the front wheel? Ps. Dont fart with the candle lit. Fahn

As of today I too can play. Attached is a video of my new bike sent to me today which shows it in action as well as a discussion around hammerschmidt design considerations.

My new baby which is specifically designed for the hammer crankset; I'm well impressed with the hammerschmidt so far, i wanted to wait for Nicolai's bbox system but its not going to be available for some time :|

Thanks for posting this and congrats on your new bike. This video helped me understand the hammerschmidt system better than any other thing I have looked at.

    Appreciate it.

How's the Hammerschmidt work on your Reign x? I have a 09' x1 and was thinking of going with Hammmer. Did you have to make any mods to make it work?

    thanks

Since I am not tscheezy apparently when it comes to ride reviews, I will leave it at I LOVE IT!!!! Honestly, its exactly what I had hoped we would come up with, a hardtail that can be used effectively for the rides I currently use my FS trailbike for. I am going to order a cog for the rear and run it is a dinglespeed (2 x 1) and cannot wait - it's current a 12 speed (2 x 6 as pictured)

no bash guard, no special tub. shoes rubbed the logos off and I like it better without them.

Ridden for 6 months or so. It has held up well aside from cosmetic dings. The shifter pod died and I replaced it with a gripshift unit that works just fine.

I think I've got one of the few Runes with a Hammerschmidt on it. built that thing to handle a bit of riding up at Snowshoe, plus anything I could throw at it around here

Nice... but I still have not seen a FR HM as it is out of the box, assembled on a bike.

I've got a couple 'Schmidts out on customer bikes and they really seem to like them.

What I really want to see is one that's slimmed down. There's a lot of steel in there and I'm sure that they could remove some weight for an XC version. From what I could tell, it adds almost 900 grams over a traditional set-up.

The cool thing is that they open up the design possibilities. The massive backplate can make fitting a challenge (see Enel's bike) but dumping the front derailleur is the right way to go. I hope a new version is on the way.
