    Avid "Rollamajig": function?

I recently saw it on SRAM's website. This thing looks nice...and weird. What does it do? I know that it connects on your rear derailer...
I don't believe that humans can change. Seen it, though.

It gets rid of the big housing loop that has been a staple of Shimano rear mechs. Works quite well, since you're asking. Of course, Shimano's new Shadow derailleurs and SRAM's mechs feature near-direct / direct cable entry, rendering the Rollamajig obsolete.

As far as i know they have been discontinued in Europe - people have real difficulty getting a hold of one.

If you find some get them whilst you can.

Since SRAM rear derailleurs dispensed with the need for the cable housing loop, I'm pretty sure they decided not help make a Shimano derailleur shift better by continuing to build the Rollamajig. At one point the 950/951 XTR rear derailleurs came with what amounted to a built-in Rollamajig.
