    widest tire on FSR XC comp disc

    currently runs a 2.1", does anyone the widest you can go?

    I run a 2.4 Kenda Cortez on my Stumpy Expert Disc. I take it you have an '05 or '06 FSR. A 2.4 won't fit on the older frames.

    My son has a Panaracer Fire FR on his bike. I think it's spec'd at 2.4". It fits in the frame okay, but the side knobs do make contact with the chain when in the very lowest gear.

    Yeah, I have that problem too...

    I get chainslap on the knobbies when I'm climbing with the granny gears.

    It's an 03 Rockhopper FSR.
