Bonking ... not feelin' well What should I expect?

I took my Stumpy Pro 120 in to a LBS to replace my middle chainring (tooth broke off) because I thought I needed a special tool to get the crank arms off. Anyway they replace the chainring and cleaned the bottom bracket. I rode the bike and on my ride the left crank arm came off. It had worked its way loose and damaged the arm. The splines are stripped and I lost the end cap. I know that I should have checked the bolts but I didn't.

Should I expect anything from the LBS or is this my fault?

BTW, I am purchasing more and more tools and I am learning to do all my work myself.

I would definitely expect the LBS to repair that, it's their fault!

If that shop doesn't take care of you find a new shop.
