Weird brake setup on my 2007 FSR xc comp

    Hey everyone,

So I recently purchased a used 2007 FSR xc comp from craigslist. Everything checks out great and rides awsome. I didnt even think twice about it but tonight i was looking at the bike and noticed that the rear rotor is a 185mm and the front is a 160mm rotor. The specs on bikepedia says that it should have Juicy 3's which it does with a 203mm in front and a 185mm in rear. I contacted the seller and he told me that it was purchased that way. I dont really think he would have any reason to lie about that. Does anyone know why this could be? Maybe someone with the same bike can chime in. Thanks

    Chris

You are correct on the specs - should have a larger rotor up front. Someone must have swapped it out, but it's odd to have a smaller rotor than rear.

You'll need an adapter on the fork brake mounts to accommodate the 203mm - it came with the bike originally.
