Weight of '06 SX Trail
So I threw the bike on the scale last night, and it came in at 39.4lbs. Had lighter tires on it, and it would have been 37lbs but I was getting pinch flats so went for something more durable.

Wow, I didn't think it'd come in so heavy. My guess was around 34-36 lbs. You could probably lose 1.5 with a 66 sl. I might have to think about the Enduro Expert now.

Yeah, I could lose weight with a lighter fork (air fork, especially). Lighter tires would also help, as would a lighter saddle, no front derailleur / shifter, plastic bashguard instead of metal...
But I'm 215lbs, and lighter tires usually results in flats when I run them at a lower PSI. This bike is also lighter than the Banshee Chaparral I was riding (48lbs.), so I'm a happy camper.
You could definitely get it lighter if you chose weight-conscious components, and were a smaller rider that could get away with lighter stuff. Not as much of an option for me, though.
No pix yet, but soon hopefully.
