Upgrading to a 2013 Enduro Comp from a 2010. Should I swap forks?

I currently have a 2010 and am upgrading to a 2013 for more upgradability options( CCDB CL, etc. ). I have this crazy idea that I should swap out the forks between the two. I like the fact that the Lyrik on the 2010 is a 35 w/a 20mm axle, and I was planning to upgrade it with the mico DH damper. The 2013 has a 34 Float CTD w/a 15mm axle.
The 2013 will be my do it all bike( like my 2010 ) so I will be doing the usual trail/AM stuff, as well as trying some gnarly rooty and rocky DH stuff.

    Good or bad idea?

I would take a rc2 dh lyrik over any fox ctd without a doubt. Now on the other hand....is a pike in the budget?

The 34 is stiff enough and very light but CTD damper for that year was rubbish. If you are buying new, you can get the LBS to arrange an upgrade on the damper to 2014 and you should be sweet as works really well.

If still unhappy, then do the swap to your Lyric! You should be able to sell the Fox a bit easier with the 2014 damper anyway.

Assume you might be buying at a discounted price being 2014 already out? If not, 2014 with similiar RRP comes with PIKE, unbelivable fork.

I put a 2014 Float damper in my 2013 34 and I love it. I have a Lyrik RC2 DH on my Enduro and a Fox 34 on my Stumpjumper and there really hasnt been a time where I thought "I wish I had the Lyrik on the Stumpy". The Fox 34 is much lighter and nearly as stiff.

I think one deciding factor might be the wheels you run and if you can use them with 20mm and/or 15mm axles.

I rode a Pike fork yesterday for the first time and I think the hype of it far exceeds it's performance. It is a great feeling fork, but it isnt so superior to the 34 that I'd sell mine just to get one. If I was buying new Id take a Pike over a Fox 34 though.
