Thinking about more travel; from 100mm to 120mm on my 08' FSRXC

I'm considering upgrading my fork from the Rock Shox Recon SL (100mm) to a Fox 32 F-Series, while on the process to pricing it I discovered the 120mm (32 F-Series RLC 120) is the same price as the 100mm. So now I'm considering adding the extra inch. Since the geometry on the FSRXC is not that different than the Stumpy and the Stumpy comes with a 120mm fork I'm thinking it will work, what do you guys think?

naw youll damage your frame sticking a 120 on there, the xc geometry is based on the older SJs that were only 100mm, if you want more travel go for a reba with adjustable travel to 110, and thats pushing it

I say, go for it. Get a BETD link to get 5 inch travel in the rear and let us know here how it rides!

Yeah, geometry changes, blah, blah, blah and if you go jumping off cliffs it will break, etc. and your warranty might not cover the frame anymore, but ride what you like and deal with whatever happens when it happens.
