Suspension upgrades for a 2012 camber comp

    Hi All,

I've been riding my camber comp for a year now and really like the geometry of the frame and how comfy it is too ride, so I want to continue using the bike for the next couple of years.

One thing about it i'm not enjoying as much is the suspension, the recon silver isn't as responsive as other forks i've had and the ario in the rear has always felt saggy (Even when pumped up)

    So my questions are
What would you recommend as a replacement for the recon silver, my budget is about $600 for another Qr 120mm fork, I was thinking a Reba or SID xx or rct.

Secondly, i'm wanting to replace the rear shock, but for the life of me I can't work out the appropriate replacement size shock. So does anyone know what the size is and can recommend a replacement (Thinking monarch)

Feel free to recommend any Marzocchi, fox or Magura forks that would work as well.

    Cheers

Honestly any of those forks will be a substantial upgrade over the stocker, my camber expert came with a nice higher end Reba with 9mm QR and I upgraded to a discount close out SID XX with push loc and 15mm maxle light and it was a huge upgrade. I had an RP2 on mine and it was fine but I am currently running a new Monarch RT3 HV on my Nickel and love it, probably the nicest shock I've ridden yet.

If you are wanting to stay budget minded I'd say pick up a deal on a Reba and a middle of the range shock from Rockshox or Fox, maybe a closeout rp23 or lower line Monarch.

But, if you really want to upgrade that ride, I'd buy a new wheel that can run 15mm and get a fork with 15mm instead of the 9mm QR. Maybe look for a good second hand rear shock or sale item.

Check with your local spec dealer to find out what size shock you need.
Hardrock 29er, Niner EMD9, Cannondale F29, Camber Expert, 650b Nickel all gone.
    2014 Giant Anthem 27.5 here.
