    Suggest a stem

I have a stumpyfsr and would like to change the stem to a 100 (was 90) When I upgrade I tend to spend the extra bucks to get something nice. Now, I would like around a 6degree rise, and that limits me. I am more Xc than big hit, but don't want to worry about the strength and 20 grams is less then the french fries i just pounded.

So share your thoughts, and as you know 31.8 (Thompson only makes a 10degree)

    Thanks

I don't have one, but have read that the Race Face Deus XC is a pretty nice stem. It is available in black or silver.

You can go with the 10* if you have spacers on the fork below the stem. Just remove, replace, or re-arrange the spacers to get the proper height at the bars. Thomson is the way to go. The new X4 stems are sweet.
    Good luck.

Thomson stuff is about the coolest on the planet.... I don't have the X4, just the standard, but I am planning on getting thicker bars, so will only purchase an X4.

Thompson, tHompson, thOmpson, or thompsoN and use spacer(s)

Well I didn't recommend Thomson being as you said you weren't interested in their degree, but being as everyone else has anyway that would be my first choice. In fact what do you know there's an X4 over there on my bike. Sometimes it is good to go against the grain though, hence my reason for buying a Cane Creek Solos headset instead of a King. Kind of sucks when you have 20 bikes pull up and they all have the same exact components.
