Thats a damn good lookin' bike. I love that year. I'm trying to pick up that identical frame. Hard to find, I've been on the search for months. I have a new Stumpy frame that is getting an SS build, but I would love to get a M4 frame and build it up as a geared.

It is now on its mile 8,000

Well, my bike went through many iterations due to abuse by owner. It is now on its mile number 8,000 with second fork, third crankset, second cassette, second brake set, third BB, fourth wheelset, eigth tire set, second seat, second shifters, second pedals

Just over 22lbs as you see it (without the lights).
It's an Extra Large 21" frame.

How do you like the ride of the carbon?
Can you compare it to anything else?
I am drooling over the 09 expert carbon right now.

I couldn't compare the ride to any other bike.

Previously I've owned Cove Hummer, Marin Team Ti, a couple of ali stumpies and a Scott ali hardtail. All have caused me back pain if I rode for more than a couple of hours at a time. I can ride the carbon all day with no problems, although I tend to ride full suss if I'm going over 4-5 hours.

The best way I can describe carbon is like having 1/2" of suspension travel without the weight penalty.

If you can afford it, I would definately recommend it.
