    Stripped drive side BB threads

A buddy has a 2000 FSR with e-type front d. and his tapered spindle BB threads in the frame are pulled out. Is there a sleave or oversized cup that can be installed. Can you TIG in some material and re-tap the threads? What about using an external bearing crank?

    Thanks

not really much you can do, it would be ahrd to add material, it would more than likely weaken your frame and it would develop a crack soon after, you could try JB weld, slather in a bunch of the stuff than when it dries tap that!?! probably would only hold for a ride.

Best bet, go over every weld very carefully and try to find a crack, than they would have to warranty the front triangle. its a shot in the dark but hell you may uncover a crack under all the dirt in the crevices
