Standard Front hubs with OS28 fork.

How does this work out? Do you loose stiffness? Does it work? I have some DT Swiss 240 hubs I want to build up and was wondering how it would work with the Specialized OS fork interface? Thanks!

The dropouts are standard dropouts. Any normal front hub will work.

So the fork is regular and the Spec. hubs flange is larger? I thought the hub and fork matched somehow?

Nope, the forks (weather Fox or Rock Shox) are standard dropout forks. The "OS28" magic is in the axle and end caps of the hub.

THey may or may not since they are a DT related product.

However, you can buy all different end caps for the 240s. STANS sells them all on their site. If you want the same stiffness and be able to use the nice DT Swiss 9mm RWS skewer your Spesh came with up front you can buy them for $25 bucks. Honestly I can't really tell a whole bunch of difference in the 9mm thru and the 15mm thru on a bike with 120mm of suspension or less. When you start getting into 140mm plus you can tell a difference IMHO.

Here is the STANS link if you want to grab them. I'm not affiliated with Stans. I use their products and I find their site convenient to order various hub parts since they stock them all.

Thanks! Anyone know if Specialized sells the end caps separate?
