    S-works tires which are best

    Hi
on my new Epic carbon expert
i have one S-works fast track and one fast track control.
how good are the S-works fast track?
on my last Specialized bike i had the ground control tires,

so i really donīt have much experience of the S-works tires at all?
so shall i go another S-works fast track for the rear wheel?
i also noticed the ground control comes in S-works version as well

The Fast Track is a truly excellent tire but I would steer clear from any Sworks tire, they have way to fragile sidewalls.

S-works on the front as most side wall cuts occur on the back, ground control front and back. Enough said.

I ride S-Works tires in Pisgah, Dupont, and Bent Creek among many other trails. No tears- no problems.

S-Works Ground Control on my Stumpjumper
S-Works Fast Track and Renegade on the Epic

Tires are tubeless and I normally run about 30 PSI on SJ and 28 on Epic.

I run s-works ground control front and rear. They're very fast, but a little twitchy through looser stuff. The sidewall is a definite issue, but I've only had a sidewall tear once so far (had the tires on 1 season only). I think its worth it if you carry a patch kit. Also, I don't run tubeless. I like them, but they wear quickly, and don't have the durability of the others.

edit: Now that I think about it, I cant really fault the s-works tire for busting a sidewall. It was a decent hit that probably would have ripped any other tire I had on there. Maybe not. Either way, they're faaaaast, and I need all the help I can get on the long climbs.

I have posted this before, I've run SWorks tires since my I bought my 2000 Swork FSR. When I made the switch over to 29er I treated myself to new Sworks tires ignoring all the warnings about the thin sidewalls.

First, after mounting up tubless, you could see the Stans seeping through in spots on the sidewall. First ride, shredded the side of the rear tire.

Lucky Specialized has the 90day no questions asked on the tires. Returned both and swapped out for the non Sworks versions. Same trails, year later- no issues. Not worth the weight saving.

well i have been curious on the S-works Graound Control 2.3 might be too wide in teh woods maybe 2.1 is better?
Fast track and renegade are fast looking tires but iīm a bit edgie on the control so i donīt loose grip on a fast corner or on a long descend
