    This might help

The only schematic I know of for the Epic is in the Owner’s Manual. If you want the copy electronically see link below:

I just pulled my shock to check the spherical bearing (they were dry, not good).

    Recommend you have:

    • Torque wrench as bracket is made of carbon fibre (11.3 NM).
    • 6 point 19mm socket (more then 6 points and you will scar the Pivot Nut)
    • Also, it is a good idea to have Blue Lock-tight (you can see where it was originally).
    • A little grease for the spherical bearings.

    • Start on the bottom of the shock.
    • Rubber rings go on first, a dap of grease will help hold them in.
    • Then hold the washers on (you will need a lot of patience with this) and slot the shock into the carbon fibre bracket.
    • Slot the bolt in with a drop of fresh Blue Lock tight. Suggest waiting to torque until after the Axel bolt is installed.
    • Slot the Axel bolt in noting where the washers are in the schematic relative to the shock link. Again, a fresh drop of Blue Lock-Tight on the threads of the Axel.
    • Torque the axel and bottom shock bolt (I use a plastic bag between the socket and Pivot Nut to prevent scaring).

Set your air pressure and sag and you are off!

    Hope this helps.
