    S-Works Epic 29er Chainstay Protectors

I just picked up my S-Works Epic 29er. The bike is beautiful. It came with 3M Chainstay protector material. Where exactly does this mount? Is the thicker end supposed to go towards the crank?

I am going to set it up tubeless tonight and will post pics and weights.

Thicker toward the crank sounds correct to me.

Question for you. Did you also get some plastic/rubber protectors for the end of your cranks? I thought I remember someone saying they got some but can't remember where I saw that and my shop looked at me like I was from Mars when I mentioned them.

Sorry for the threadjack but if someone could post some pictures of them I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

No problem, I'll get a picture for you. It did come with the crank arm protectors, they are really nice. Did you get the thin plastic chain stay protectors?

I'm definitely interested in those crank-end protectors as well.

no problem! I just noticed it said under the description that they were made by race face. When i got my cranks, they came with decals to cover the arms, but nothing for bottoms. But honestly i ran those cranks on my sworks 29er ht, and they held up great, even with all my pedal/lower crankarm strikes.they didnt look pretty, but held up just great.

I don't recall getting any chainstay protecting tape. I'll have to look through my box of goodies.

I just bought some of THIS.

Thanks for the picture. Anything with better focus?

This should be sufficient though for my shop. At least you can see what we're talking about.

    Cheers!
