    ?'s about SX Trail Frames...

    1. anyone know if they are available at Specialized?

    2. can you get a DHX Air rear shock for it?

    3. If anyone has one post me some pics, I'm going to ditch my XC bike and my DH bike and create one super D/Trail Bike.

    Thanks

    Zero

I have been trying to get my hands on SX Trail frame in medium for about a month. I have searched everywhere. Last I heard that Specialized had one small left. Perhaps a new model is coming out, as I saw Bearclaw with a new paint scheme on NSMB.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago. It was the last medium frameset that Specialized had. My suggestion on the air shock would be....don't! All that would do is eff it up. When you worry too much about weight you end up with a compromise in suspension performance for the descent. You can build it up at under 36 lbs, with a coil fork and strong wheelset!

Don't count on it though, they never deliver on time. I would look more towards middle sept.

Any rumors floating around about the 2008 SX Trails? Will there be any changes? What about paint schemes?

I know when i got my large there were 3 larges left, then my buddy got one, so there was only 1 left, i know i inquired about the mediums, and they said there was one, but that was quite a few weeks ago, congrats to the one that go it. I dont think too many people will be selling those frames either. I am supposed to be getting some testing "goodies" to try on my SX Trail, and some of them may show up on the 08 models.

Just that the '08 models should be shipping in August. I can't imagine there is any room for improvment. OK, maybe 180mm travel and a beefier chainstay would be nice.

There was a pic from sea otter that had a few bikes in it. There was a grey sx trail in the pic. Probably a pic that featured the 29er stumpy. I will see if I can dig it up when I have time.

Nice bike jut, can't believe you had to sell the last one to realize that.
I keep meaning to ditch my van 36 and get the 66. Just got to take the plunge.
