Is a fox Rp23 a good replacement for the AFR shock on my enduro....meaning I dont wont to get a shock that wont handle the six inches of tracel.....would I be better off getting a DHX air instead??
The FSR rear shock is basically a Fox RP23.
Pro-Pedal = Spike Valve
Both have rebound
Both have compression
Both have locked out levers (The FSR is not a true lock out, but close)
Both stop working some times, need regular services, and wear out eventually
200mm eye to eye with a 55mm stroke
a DHX air might help if you take a lot of big drops thou.
If you want a spare shock, just get a cheap Swinger 3 way off of E-bay that has a 200mm eye to eye length. It will work very well the three days your FSR shock might be down waiting for the 5 year warranty repair.
