I finally got my new bike (yea!!!) and i put 45 trail (no road at all ) miles on it according to my bike comp. its been down, up, and over numerous hills, trough every gear and chainring and over roots so big they made me not want to ride cuze i was tired of roots (the trailhead is 1.31 miles of roots) the shock is deff broken in (i feel at least) but i dunnoo if i should send it to my lbs for its free breakin tuneup. now to my questions. how do you adjust the fork? (its a rockhopper base model 05) I played with the knob on top of the left fork tube (sitting on bike perspective) and it didn't do anything that i could feel. Its not that bad, but i could go for a little cushier. It was fry and dusty and ithen some light rain there, being a new bike owner i fretted about the seals on the fork getting dirt in them, is there a cleaning method for this? also, how hard is it to disassemble the fork and clean it?
