Question about frame durability and chain suck!. Please help me!

I have a Stumpjumper m4 HT. Lately I was shifting under constant pressure (some races with lot`s of gradient changes) with their obvius consecuences (chain suck).
After these races I realize that the right chainstay got scratched from the chain, to the point where the paint was ripped. Scratches of 2cm`s with no paint and the brighter aluminium exposed (to expose the alu in these frames isn`t that hard, because the paint chips with just rocks hitting the frame).

So, I want to know if that scratches may hurt the durability of the frame, or if it`s just the external layer and the material in those zones (near BB, is thick enough) that is getting hurt?

    Thanks a lot!

as long as the scratches aren't too deep I wouldn't worry much about it.
