New question here. Price Check - Specialized StumpJumper FSR Comp & Myka FSR Comp

My wife and I are planning to get new bikes this week. What should we expect to pay at a local bike shop for:
    - 2010 StumpJumper FSR Comp (Medium) - $2,200 MSRP
    - 2010 Myka FRS Comp (Small) - $1,550 MSRP

Please specify if sales tax is included in your estimates.

    Thank you.

How much is your local bike shop asking for the two models you're interested in?

I was quoted $3,400 (plus tax) at one LBS and $3,425 (plus tax) at another LBS.

my LBS has the myka at $1200, and the SJ comp at $2k flat.

It is an advertised price on their website - no need to haggle to get it.

I should note that those low prices are by one of my least favorite LBS... Other stores near me charge more - but provide better service. However, if all you care about is getting it at the lowest price.......

Anyone else have any comments... Even if it only pertains to one of the bikes listed above.

    Thanks.

My wife and I purchased our new bikes earlier this week at $3,400 plus tax. It wasn't exactly a GREAT deal from a discount perspective, but we supported our local bike shop.
