    New specialized owner

New to the forum; being 30, I've been riding for a long time and wanted to introduce myself on mtbr. I still have my first real mountain bike: a giant "butte", plus a 93 Specialized Rockhopper and a mid 90's hardrock that I literally just picked up (2hrs ago) to ride when I'm at my pseudo home away from home. The hardrock is nice, needs a little work though. I've noticed a lot of crank play due to a loose or worn bracket. It says direct drive, not sure what mx is specifically required? Additionally, it has some noticeable frame flex when I pedal hard (really hard),never really noticed this on my other bikes; I've visually inspected for cracks, everything appears to be in good condition and solid. I already had road tires installed and plan on significantly cutting back miles in the car.
