    new parts?

    i have a 2011 stumpjumper fsr comp. need to replace my cassette and also middle chainring in front. looking for recommendations for both. also should i stay with 33t chainring up front?

    I'd say get an xt or slx cassette; light, relatively cheap, and crisp gear changes.

    If you find yourself spinning out on the highest gear, consider a 36 or 38 tooth chairing

    Another vote for XT-- its a solid choice. If you look around online, it seems that one place always seems to have it on sale.
    As for the chainring-- if you have 3 rings up front, I'd stay with 32 unless you want to drop down to 2 rings. Ultimately, gearing is a personal choice that depends on fitness, riding style and location.

    Wolftooth (or the cheaper Raceface narrow/wide) would mean you are going 1x10. You cant shift out of those rings.
