Good job! New Fork Recomendations for Stumpy FSR 2012

Considering a new fork for my stumpy 2012 fsr comp. I find the stock fox fork to be harsh in the mid stroke. I have sag set at 25%, 30% was too soft and experienced brake dive on steep terrain.

So far I have narrowed my choices to a fox talas, pike, or manitou mattoc. I am leaning towards a mattoc.

Pike all the way, if you can find one. It is an amazing fork.

Will I need the rear evo link if I decide to go with 150mm fork upfront?

No. The Evo link will lower the bottom bracket and increase rear travel to 150mm, but running it at 140mm will be just fine. Try it and if you dont like you can always swap links later on.

Thay are around $100, but they are out of stock right now at Specialized. A buddy of mine is waiting to get one. All they have said is "soon".
