Is my used RockHopper really a 2005?

    Hey all,

I just picked up this RH as a demo model from a LBS for a great price. so far it rides great, but i have a few questions because it doesnt seem to fit what i thought an '05 was spec wise.. here are its specs:

    its yellow
    Manitou Axel Comp fork
    Shimano Alivio shifters
    Shimano Deore rear DR
unlabeled front DR (should this be unlabeled??)
    Tektro V brakes
    Alex DH20 wheels

I thought '05s only came in red or black.. had Manitou Axel Elite forks, Shimano LX rear DR'ers...

i'm probably being paranoid, but i thought id ask you guys. also where can i find the serial #?

Nice to see that you got the rock hopper (did not spend anymore $ on the Huffy), you will enjoy it more then the Huffy, and probaly will ride a lot more. Rockhopper comes in different trims I beleive basic, sport, comp. So your equipment depends on that

    2013 Tarmac Sport

How do you decode a serial number of a Rockhopper. Can you guys point me to the right website.

    Serial # P4DE51061

I also own a 2000 Raliegh M80 and I was able to decode the serial number thanks to SheldonBrowns website.
