Weighed it on the shop scale and it was 22lbs.5oz. without pedals when I picked it up Friday...

Swapped out Stem with Loaded Precision
Swapped crappy Magura MTS brakes with Shimano SLX brakes
    Upgrades ordered today:
Crest wheelset with stock Stan's 3.30 Hubs
    XT 11-36 Cassette
Easton EC70 Low rise carbon bar
    Alligator Windcutter rotors
    Upgrades to come eventually:
    Carbon seatpost
    Carbon Crankset
    XTR pedals
I can't wait to see where it ends up!

Really nice ride. Congrats. Try Renegades, they roll like hell and have more grip than you think they have.

    Almost done!
Getting an XX1 Carbon crank on Tuesday, but here are the mods to date:
    Roval Control Carbon Wheels (Tubeless)
    XT Cassette
    XTR pedals
    SLX brakes (Magura rotors)
Easton Haven 711mm low rise Carbon Bar
    Bontrager Rhythm Lockons
    Bontrager Evoke saddle
    Thomson Elite post
    Loaded 90mm Stem and Skewers

    Super nice bike man.

Just curious with all the upgrade u made, how far away in cost are u if u got th next model up? Or were u just not satisfy with stock spec and want to custom your own setup?

Also, was your stock crank running the pf bb30? Anything u needed to run your new crank or did it go in without problem or changes?

In hind sight I could have probably gone with the higher model, but... Some upgrades fell in my lap recently like the wheels and bars for a crazy cheap price, and some of the other parts I already had in my stash. But I must also say that upgrading is also pretty fun... As far as the crank goes, my LBS will be installing it. I will let you know what, if anything else was needed to make it work. I believe it is a direct bolt on to the stock BB.

    Finally done!!! (for now)
Swapped out the tires because I have realized that Stan's sealant does not work well in Specialized tires at all...It seeps through the tires and was making me very uncomfortable so I swapped with some Racing Ralph EVO's.
Also just put on the XX1 Carbon Crank. 1 ride on it so far and extremely happy with it.
New crank reduced the weight from the stock S-1250 crankset significantly, and the gearing is perfect, for me anyway...Hoping to have weight soon.

As far as I know there were no additional parts needed and it was a direct swap. I believe the Q factor is 156...

That's odd. I'm running Stans in some Renegades without seepage, and the sidewalls aren't exacly thick.

My wife just got a small 2013 Stumpjumper Carbon Comp and upgraded - Handlebars to Syntace 600mm, Syntace stem 90mm, XTR Shifters, S-works Crank, XX Truvativ 39-26 Chainrings, Notubes Race Gold with renegades 1.95 tubeless and Xpedo M-FORCE 8 Ti pedals and Selle Italia Saddle and XT Cassette, still need to get new Syntace seatpost and possible XX Cassette but right now it is 20.25 lbs with pedals. When I switch to 1x10 with Q-ring Chainring 34t it drops to 19 lbs. Will be under 19lbs with seatpost and 1x

With all those upgrades why not spend a little more in LBS and pick up an SJ Marathon? The Roval carbon wheels look pretty sweet.

because the cost of the carbon comp plus those upgrades from those sponsors was way cheaper. Beata Wronska - Mountain Biker and Xterra Triathlete plus the stan wheels are lighter than the rovals.

I actually had a set of Crests on the bike, but lucked into the Rovals from a good friend that sold his bike due to injury. He GAVE me the Rovals, AND the new XTR pedals for selling his bike for him, and I put my Crests on his bike before it sold...Yes, the Crest wheels are definitely lighter, but not nearly as stiff as the Rovals. I did not have the $$$ for the Marathon when I got this bike, but did have quite a few other parts in my stash to upgrade it so I went that route... I also have a 2013 Scalpel that is not being ridden and may end up being sold. This is an awesome bike...

I'm one to talk, actually. The QEM drivetrain from my last roadie is sitting unused in the big bike stuff box in the garage....
