Was my bike supposed to come with...

...a chainstay sleeve? I know its petty, but I didn't get one and just spent a ton of money of my Stumpy FSR comp. I noticed that most others bikes had one on them (at a different store). Do they come stock from specialzed or is that the LBS's discretion?

I just wanted to know if I should go back in and have them give me one.

    Thanks

It should have had one. I would go back to the dealer and ask for it. I've never seen one go out the door from my LBS without it.

Yeap, comes with the bike. Another item you might want to check for is the cable clamp that comes on the Fox fork. When I picked up my bike, the front brake cable was flopping all over the place. I noticed the cable clamp on most of the other floor bikes in the store and convinced the mech I needed one. He then removed the cable clamp from a floor model and installed it on my bike.

    They are available through Fox.

Better yet go back and buy a decent chainstay protector instead. I believe the one's that come on the bike are really just a sticker anyway. Get you a Lizard Skins neoprene or something. Look much cooler and protect better.

The sleeves that come on the FSR bikes are actually padded better than the lizard skins, say FSR, have holes cut specifically for cable tie points and look cool.

Should have come with it. Some come with the FSR logo on it, and some just say Specialized. Mine? Specialized, but I wanted the FSR one!
