New question here. Mountain King II 2.4 Fit Stumpy FSR 2012?

Will a Mountain King II or X-King 2.4 fit my Stumpy FSR comp 26"? I just stuck a Mountain King 2.2 on there and they seem narrower than my captains 2.2.

    Would 2.4 tire be overkill?

Mountain King II 2.4 Fit Stumpy FSR 2012?

Well I've never used that tire but can say unfortunately the hans dampf 2.35 rubbed the heck out of my drive side chain stay down to bare medal. So I'm back to the specialized tires on mine. This is the only bad thing about this frame is it can't take a big man tire in the rear, no pun intended.

Well I decided to dump my conti tires. I was running X King in the back and mountain king upfront. I have already chunked out some nobs on the back first ride! There is no control while breaking down loose over hard pack switch backs, and the rear just slides out. The mountain king up front is good, but rolls super slow and the casing isnt very fat for the 2.2. Good bye conti. I ended up sticking my specialized tires back on. Purg front, captian in the back. I love that combo. I wanna try the new 2.3 purg and ground control out back.
