    Maintenance question for FS bikes

I have an '04 Epic S-Works. I'm in the process of cleaning the rear shock. I've taken the shork right off the bike and took the carbon fiber link off. Should I taken the outer bearing seals off and clean/re-grease the bearings? It feels like there could be some dirt in the large bearings. While I'm at it, should I remove the other two pieces of the rear suspension and do the same? This seems like a step to take prior to replacing the bearings.

I pull the seals from time to time on mine and repack them. I have over 2000 miles now on my first set of bearings and they are still going strong.

    Clean the whole lot.

If you've got it apart do all the bearings, especially the seat/chain stay ones and the BB one. You can pop the seales off and clean and relube, or actually push the bearings out and replace them. I find that the small ones at the seat/chain stay almost sieze up after a while on my epic, so check them.
