Looking to Purchase a used Epic

I'm currently riding a Trek hardtail and would like me first full suspension to be a Specialized Epic. I'm checking out ebay and MTBR classified. Anyone have any other ideas to find a good used Epic?

The real question is how much do you want to spend?

Watch out for scammers... anything around 800 dollars should be treated with caution... paypal only, no money transfers. Ever.

I was looking to spend around $1,000 to $1,200. I don't think you can find anything decent for much less.

I'd definitely go ebay then. I'm sure you can pickup a 2003 or a newer model with rim brakes if you watch the auctions closely. Just don't buy from anyone with little feedback and if its too good to be true, it probably is.

    I have one for sale....

    Hi,

I recently purchased a 2007 Marathon and due to a nagging knee injury and dwindling ride time available I am choosing to sell and wait until next season once I am 100% healed.

I purchased this bike from my local dealer through a race club sponsored deal. I am putting up on the classified tomorrow after I wash it tonight but since you asked I thought I would offer now.

Granted, it sounds like it's out of price range but what the heck. I'm looking for $3000. Less then 2 months old, almost new condition save a very small ding in the top tube. 100% stock. I'm in Virginia if that matters. I'd prefer to sell local but I am flexible.

PM me if you are interested.

    Sean

    '03 Epic

I sold my 2003 Epic for $1000 at the local bike swap this spring. I think I could have asked a bit more for it, maybe $1200.
It had an almost new updated XT drivetrain including hollowtechs.
Upgraded to XT discs, Mavic 717's and a Fox F80RLT

I hope this gives you an idea.

i'm going to unload my '03 with '04 brain shock S-Works Epic as soon as I pick up a new one. I was my race bike - probably has 400 miles on it. I'll likely sell frame only ... maybe with V-brake Ksyrium wheels if I end up on discs ... which I'm fighting. (Anyone got ANY line on an '06 Epic Carbon Rim?!?!?!)

if you're interested, shoot me an email.
