New question here. Last year for Made in USA Specialized?

Can anyone here tell me what year the last Made in USA Specialized Stumpjumpers were made?
I am currently shopping around for a good used HT MTB for around $500.
I have found a couple Specialized M4 Stumpjumpers in this price range but they range in age from 1998 to 2005. What year was the last of the Made in USA batch?

    Thanks,
    John

    they came from SLC

I think the last US made bikes were from the Salt Lake City facility. I know they were doing this in the mid 90's, but don't know when it stopped.

I would say it would have to be before 2000 at any rate. They only made S Works level frames there, if it doesn't say S Works it was made over seas.

I have an 1989 Stumpjumper and that was made in Taiwan. Were Stumpjumpers ever made in the US?
