    I have the same set up, a 2005 Demo8 pro and a 2005 SX. Hopefully I'll be selling my SX soon over here in Europe to fund my world cup races. Enjoy those bikes, they're super fun.

    Be sure to get a new shock for the SX, that 5th WILL blow up on you. Mine has died 3 times so far. That Fox Float/RP3 shock kicks butt, but all I could afford is a Vanilla R with a 650lb spring. Works way better than the blown 5th. Plus, if you get a new shock that won't blow, you'll have the 5th laying around incase the new one does meet an untimely death.

    How much does the SX weigh?

    Im considering one for a singletrack weapon. Its built the same as yours.
    Extracting stings from wasps in flight.

    My SX, with almost the same build, weighed in at 32 pounds. It's an awesome singletrack rig. I just put a Vanilla R in back to get a working suspension, and my fork only works at 100mm of travel, but I am going to cry after selling it in the next few weeks. The bike is sooo much fun. Light, quick, nimble, and jumpable. Here's a pic:
