Pretty sure the '12 stump hts had 135mm rear hubs. Actually I'm almost positive they did. Specialized archives should show you that info on the specs.

Correct, all current Stumpy HTs have standard 10x135 rears....

The WTB Stryker TCS 29 rear wheel you linked will fit in a 2012 Specialized Stumpjumper hardtail 29 frame without any modifications or changes required.

Assuming your current wheel is the one that came with the bike it won't be 142+. The 2012 Stumpjumper hardtail 29 frame has standard 135mm rear spacing and uses a quick release skewer:

The new 2014 Stumpjumper hardtail 29 frame has 142x12mm thru axle rear dropouts and comes with a 142+ freehub but the older frames don't.

Thanks guys! Got it ordered in time 20% off came to around $400 total with shipping. Hopefully that's a decent deal. (Well with the front wheel too)

I had a set of those on my Rockhopper Pro 29er HT and I loved them. They setup tubeless super easy and spin up real nice. My only complaints would be the low engagement and the fact replacement spokes are tough to find, although I never did break any.

$400 is a great price for a set!
