I have a 2007 FSR XC Pro. What does FSR stand for?

    Is it "Future Shock Rear"?

    Thanks

I have always thought it meant "Full Suspension Rig". At least I thought it sounded cool.

Back in the hard tail days sbi made a suspension fork and named it future shock. future shock rear seems obvious enough when you know that. (I asked the rep for an explanation)

The explanation is on the website. The "future shock" story is accurate. They added the "rear" as a designator for the rear suspension.
I hope you have a big trunk... 'cuz I'm puttin' my bike in it.

ughh! I worked there when this was being developed....just because they put it on a website does not mean they didn't throw around different ideas....it's simply marketing lingo/banter..etc....do you really think all these concepts are rock solid when they are first developed?? It WAS Full Suspension Ride...so they changed it later to fit with something kinda obscure...hell, movies change titles all the time (even after production and media is finished)......banging head against desk...repeatedly...
