I would love to see some P. bike pride pics!
Maybe its just the remorse of having just dismantled my old hardtail to build up my Enduro again, but I already miss it! And I am totally craving an '08 P.2 cro-mo! I see a lot of full-sus. xc, am, dh and fr rigs that are absolutely amazing, but doesn't anyone have a lovely P. bike? or are they all just hanging over in the dj/urban forum?
Well, maybe after I upgrade my Enduro I can find the cash to get one.
I am sure I can't be the only one who dreams about adding a solid hardtail to their collection! Drool with me people!

Here's my BIKE PORN...

(I posted this a lttle later in a thread, post your bike porn please?)
This is one of my 4 Specialzied bikes. This is my 2007 Specialized P2 cr-mo that I purchased from The Bicycle Shop just before spring last year. I've done some upgrades that are not pictured (Maxxis Holyrollers 26x2,40, WTB Jason V Camo DJ seat, etc...) . I did the hollow bolt star nut so I can run my front brake cable down threw my forks (first picture)... I have some new parts for my P2. Deity 31.8 bar and stem in white, etc... Was thinking of getting a wheel set of Halo's in white too... Halo makes some pretty tough wheel sets....
I'll try and post some newer pictures up soon...
I really enjoy riding this bike. It is so much FUNN... I only rode my Specialized Bighit maybe three times last summer...

i really like how this build is coming along...i have a stock '07 p2 and was looking at the same bar/stem combo...any reason to go w/the 31.8 vs. the 25.4? strength? also is there any weight savings over the stock bits?

i have a set of black wellgo MG1s on the way from Cambria, next will be the bar/stem/grip upgrade, and after that i'm looking at the Gold Label II to replace the DJ'er that it came with...

I got mine around late June last year and it's been a blast to ride stock...i'll snap some pics when the pedals get here on tuesday or so...

and great to see a P bike thread in here!!:)

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

Hey briank10... Whats you got coming in??? I'm thinking of going back to my 2007 Marzocchi DJ 3 Fork. It has two more adjustments than the 2008 Marzocchi DJ 3 Fork. The only thing it's not white, but who cares... Did you get a chance to check out one of those WTB JAXON V DJ RACE saddles? I was tellin' you, I <3 mine. 110% impovement over the Fuse saddle...
Heres a couple of places that I have order parts from.
I got my Deity parts from Phil at ride SFO. I've ordered 4 hoodies from him last year. SIC!!! hoodies. Very soft and warm for riding or just chillin' (see pic below),,,

T.H.E. Vice grips, DB bar end caps, Azonic saddle. Thinking of doing something wheel wise, maybe a pedal or handbar swap, and am definetly interested in the hollow bolt star nut that you used on yours. I'm still looking to find something I like. I almost ordered the WTB JAxon saddle, but decided on the Azonic instead.

Halo makes a pretty sweet and tough wheelset. You can get them in 32, 36, and 48 spoked. They make tires too. I believe they are made in the UK. You can get 'em in black, white, gold (yes gold)... I was thinking about white. But I don't want to over kill my bike with white... :nono:
I was thinkin' of pimpin' a Halo wheelset in gold...

white does look good though...

Hey I currently have a 06 giant stp ss...looking to get something with gears not haha, anyways how do you guys like the p2 cro-mo/p1? How heavy is it, geometry good?

And sorry for the noob question..but I can't seem to find the difference between the 08 p2 cro-mo and p1? Is the p1 cro-mo also? The canada specialized site doesnt differentiate on the specs of the two (p2 cro-mo/p1)

Thanks!
