How tall are you and what size SJ 29 do you ride?

I'm looking to jump up to an SJ Evo 29. Currently ride a Camber Expert Carbon 29.

My bike now is a size medium and I'm 5'11" (33"inseam). Bought the smaller size in the camber so it would be more nimble on the trail but I ended up with a lot of seatpost out and needing a positive rise stem and riser bar to get the handlebars level with the saddle.

I know I could go either way but wanted to know owners thought and how they ride their bikes (this will be an aggressive trail bike for me. Riding in Colorado). I already have a HT to race on and just want a longer travel better play toy.

I too am 5'11" but have a 31" inseam. I roll on mediums because my arms are also kinda short. I have to push my saddle all the way back to get my knees in a proper pedaling position and I too have a decent amount of seat post sticking out. I don't think I'd be on a medium if my inseam was two inches longer. I'm thinking you would fit better on a large considering it would also raise the stack higher to your liking.

I'm 5' 10 3/4 31.5 inseam and mine was a large, medium felt way too cramped. I always had medium frames on all my 26ers before it.

I"m 6'2", with a 32" inseam. I'm riding a L Stumpjumper Comp 29. The fit seems to be perfect. I definitely wouldn't go any larger.

    5' 10", 30" inseam.

Ride a Lg Carve & Lg SJ FSR 29.

I could have gone with Med in both, I just like the feel of Large better...

I'm 5'7 and ride a medium stumpy evo. Maybe a tad big, but better fit than small.

By the way, the EVO is an incredible bike. Wouldn't have consider it, but LBS suggested it. So glad they did. Climbs really well for me and nails the descents. A sure attention magnet as well. Have had numerous people stop me at red lights to inquire.

I am 5'8 and have a 30in inseam. I am planning on getting a medium but plan on getting fitted because not sure if I should go with a small.

I'm ~5'9 with a 33" inseam but I also have long arms. My hands hang to the lower 1/2 of my thighs.

I initially had a 19" Rockhopper 26. This fit like a glove! When I went with a Rockhopper 29 I went with a size 17. since the bike felt bigger. I think it was a good change. I now ride a 17.5 Stumpjumper 29er which I think is a good size.

Nothing is as nimble as the Rockhopper 26 though!
