How do you read the Geometry chart for the SJ?

I was looking at the specs for the SJ and realized it isn't as simple as it used to be? What are all the different sizes and what is the different BB height, seat tube angle, and head tube angle measurements?

    Sizes Listed
    S -- M -- L -- XL -- S-L -- M-L -- L-L

    Bottom Bracket Height Low/Short
    Bottom Bracket Height Low/Mid
    Bottom Bracket Height Low/Long
    Seat Tube Angle Low/Short
    Seat Tube Angle Low/Mid
    Seat Tube Angle Low/Long
    Head Tube Angle Low/Short
    Head Tube Angle Low/Mid
    Head Tube Angle Low/Long

BTW, I am 6'2" barefoot with a 33.5" inseam. Should I look at a Large or Extra Large?

You're an XL for sure. Unless you're real detail specific, the headtube and seat tube measurements don't matter. BB height won't change for different sizes. What you need to be concerned about is standover height, and top tube length. But at 6' 2" you're not really on the line at all.. you're an XL.

I'm 6'2" with a 35" seam and a SJ in XL fits me fine.

http://www.competitivecyclist.com/ has a nice fit calculator.

According to competitivecyclist.com here is my ideal measurements:
Full Suspension Standover Height Range 33.0 - 33.7 inches
Virtual Top Tube Length 25.0 - 25.4 inches
    Stem Length 13.2 - 13.8 cm (5.2 - 5.43 inches)
    BB-Saddle Position 75.7 - 77.7 cm (29.8 - 30.6 inches)
    Saddle-Handlebar 62.5 - 63.1 cm (24.6 - 24.8 inches)

    Inseam - 34.75
    Trunk - 27
    Forearm - 15
    Arm - 30
    Thigh - 26
    Lower Leg - 23
    Sternal Notch - 61.5

I don't think I actually agree with the results. I ride a XL Fisher Cake 3 now and felt stretched out with a 25.5 Effective Top Tube and 105mm stem. I installed a 90mm stem and the bike feels more nimble but climbing has suffered somewhat.

Remember that fisher have genesis geometry and have longer top tubes...

Regarding your first question, there are 4 men's and 3 women's ("ladies") sizes, and the "low-mid-long" measurements are taken at different travel settings on the Talas fork.

I agree you are most likely an XL. I am 5'10" and ride a Large.

Looks like I have longer legs, but a shorter torso/arms than you. You should get a larger bike than me. I tried the L-size SJ (only around the block a couple of times), but it was too cramped for me.

If you know you want around <25 inch effective top tube maybe you should get the L size and a stem to fit. The top tube on an XL is an inch longer than L. I just measured my bike and the effective top tube is almost exactly 25" (center seat tube to center head tube at the height of the steering stem).
