I acquired a used SJ pro carbon with the brain suspension. Can anyone share tips on how to dial in the suspension? Links to the instructions would be greatly appreciated too.
I have played around with the suspension for almost two years now. My best, all-purpose leave-it-alone settings are as follows:
3 clicks out from full on both brains
front rebound - one and a half turns out from full (full is slowest)
rear rebound - 8 clicks from full
front air pressure - 80 psi
rear air pressure - 180 psi
In terms of the air pressure, someone very wise advised me the psi should be "your weight in lbs at the rear and less 100 at the front"
I wouldn't advise avoiding the set-up and dial-in process, but this starting point will make it a lot quicker.
By the way, this is one of the great all-trail bikes there is. You will have no regrets and plenty of grins from this fine machine - it's fast (stiff and light) on the climbs and faster downhill and soaks up everything I've ever given it.
