Help me mix/match my Spesh tires

Here it goes... help me pick tire combinations with the current inventory I have stocked up in my garage:

    - 2.4 purgatory
    - 2.2 Captain
    - 2.3 Ground Control
    - 2.0 Fast Trak LK (x2)

Give me your suggestions for front rear. These tires are being used for two bikes.

    Thanks!

2.4 Purg front with 2.3 GC rear - good setup for trail/AM
2.2 Capt front with 2.0 FT rear - good setup for XC/trail

I myself am trying to decide If to go with a 2.2 captain or a 2.3 ground control up front paired with the stock Fast Trak LK Sports that came on my bike. I think I'm leaning more towards the Captain.

Depends on the surface you ride on.
For me on pea gravel (loose peas on hard pack) - Purgatory on front Captain on the rear (though prefer the 2.3 Purg.)
If hardpack only then fastrack rear Captain front (maybe)
If soft then as per first but maybe Ground control rear.

Your suggestions make a lot of sense. I'll keep the captain front, fast track rear on the bike for the rest of the dry season and then switch over to purg front and ground control rear for fall/winter.
