What the hell man, pics !! I'm waiting for mine. While I don't like the black and gold combination the grey/orangeish/black I've got for my market sure makes me puke my guts out in comparison...

hey thread jacker... lol. well that one isn't mine but this one is. three mile ride yesterday i love this bike, fits me like a glove. not like OJ's glove but i can still murder me some trials with it. (oh to soon? sorry.)

i will get some better high res pics this evening in the sun. the yellow has a metallic sparkle you really can see in the pics, and the graphics have a digitized topographic map effect in them thats is subtle but looks trick.

    Drooooooooooooooooooooooooool !!!!

Man...this gold/black in the flesh is just beautiful,it reminds me the very first 2011 Stumpy EVO,still the best EVO of all times to me

I have a feeling that I'll go crazy for this bike and my Epic will be long neglected ( and sold by december, a friend of mine anxiously waiting already....)

Gotta noob question, in the second to the last pic, what is the small thing with a blue cap on it, just in front of the back disc?

BTW congrats on the great looking ride.

The small thing is the Brain . The blue cap is the knob you need to use when you want tune the Brain's inertia valve depending on you needs or preferences.

Google Specialized Brain damper and you'll see how come people do love Specialized

And for those who have 'blown their brain out,' -why they hate it.

I'm 6'4", weigh 225lbs, and have had 4 bikes with brains. Never had any trouble with any of them. I am not easy on equipment either.

I don't think weight as much to do Brain reliability. I'm at 2 Brains equipped bikes and never had any issues aswell, hopefully with a 3rd one on the way it will be the same

Looks great. Is that a large? I'm in the market for a new 29er myself . I'm currently riding a large 2011 Stumpjumper Comp FSR 26er and it seems to fit me great. Just wondering if I would be a large on the 29er as well. BTW, I'm 5'11" with a 32 inseam.

Yes its a large frame. IDK about the frame specs form 26 to 29 but I'm 6' with 33-34" inseam.

This bike is feels slightly small for me. I have seat all way back. I may change the stem to 10mm longer one, but first I'm gonna switch to 1" riser bars see how that feels and go from there.

I'm a longer torso guy than most, I think it would be fine for you. Like I said it feels just tiny bit tight in cockpit. I'm in between a large an XL frame.

I had a 26" XL rockhopper and I sometimes felt streched out a bit on it. Then I had a large carbon stumpy HT 29er, it felt tighter than this bike.

Glad to see this topic still alive

@ Pex : it's not really orange like the ugly marketing pics,it's actually a pleasant neon red and I'm loving it more and more every day

Getting used to my 2013 Elite's unpleasant weight, the bike may not be an Epic on the uphills but it's just unstoppable on every terrain. I've found myself doing stuff I would have never tried with her 26 counterpart. I consider it my group rides machine, as a speed guy like I am I needed another more fast & furious machine, that's why I have a Flash 29 on order.
Funnily enough this bike gives her best if kept at speed, but man how tough is to get there..... I still have to learn to turn properly, the Epic 29 was just a "grab it by the horns and throw it in that corner " bike, this baby doesn't like that,or maybe I still don't like that yet..
Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro wheels are just amazing, they can really take some bad beating and keep on ticking.

@Devastazione ya I've seen it in person at my LBS, it's a flat red with perhaps a hint of orange. I am not a fan of red, seems like most specialized bikes are red though lol

Ok man, That is one sick bike! Looks much better in person than I thought it would!
I'm in a dilemma right now between the elite and the comp carbon.
I KNOW this is the bike i want, just gotta decide if i want a BRAIN or carbon.
Decisions decisions... If only I could afford an expert carbon or an s-works haha
